Youth Hockey Programs
HOMER GLACIER KINGS
Homer Hockey Association (HHA) has recreational teams from ages 6 – 18. Each team requires a commitment for the season which typically runs from October – March. USA Hockey Membership is required for all age groups.
All youth hockey programs come with an HHA Membership that lets you gain FREE access to stick time and public skates!

Introductory level recreational hockey. 8 & Under is the HHA team for 7 and 8 year olds. The 8U season involves twice weekly practices, games against Kenai teams, minimal travel and flat rate monthly ice fee.

HHA’s recreational team for 9 and 10 year olds. The 10 & Under season involves twice weekly practices with games and tournaments on the peninsula and Anchorage throughout the season.

HHA’s recreational team for 11 and 12 year old. The 12 & Under season involves twice weekly practices with game and tournaments from Homer to the Valley and any place in between.

HHA will not be offering the 14U program for the 2022-23 season. Players eligble for this division are encouraged to register for the 16U Team, which will be comprised of kids ages 13 to 16! Please follow the link below to the 16U signup.
Body checking is allowed for the 14U division.

The 16 & under age division will compete for the 2022-23 season. Registration is open for players who are 13 to 16 years old. Players attending high school and playing on the Mariners team are eligible to play in this division so long as they meet the age requirements. Older skaters (ages 17 and above) are eligible to coach, but must complete the USAH coaches registration, certification and complete SafeSport training and associated background screening.

HHA will not be offering the 18U program for the 2022-23 season. This Tier II team requires tryouts and travel throughout Alaska, and potentially outside of the state. The season starts in September and breaks for the Homer Mariner Co-op Team’s season.
